So many black and blues

Peyton {PJ} woke up 11 times he is so uncomfortable. This sucks! His elbow got much bigger but he is moving it. I spoke to the HTC they say he does NOT need factor as long as he is moving his arm. I really disagree with them He has 2 big black and blues on each side of his rib's and he had another one on his elbow and 2 on his legs.
They say he is gonna get them now cause he is moving all over the place. I am just so upset!

I hope these black and blues go away.
I am so upset but annoyed at the same time. I know this is gonna happen but he has so many black and blues and he does not even crawl or walk yet! Its so sad for Peyton and me =(
We are not having a good 2 days. Its like anything he rolls on by the morning is a black and blue. If I was able to give him factor I would do it myself but we are not there yet

My dad come ova this morning to check all PJ's black and blues and he says his arm looks swollen, They are still saying he DON'T need factor cause he is playing and using his arm

  1. Hi there, I want you to know that I know how you feel. I just found your blog and this advice may be kind of late, but I wanted to share our story with you. I have a 3 1/2 yr old with Severe Hemophilia A. The reason the HTC is saying you don't need factor for the bruising is because the discoloration means he is already starting to heal. When my little boy was three days old, his whole left side of his body was bruised and I went to the emergency room about it. The ER doctor looked it over and told us we didn't need to treat.
One thing to remember tho is that it is NEVER a bad idea to treat. Even if it's just for your peace of mind. Our HTC nurse has told me many times that she'd rather us treat and not need it than for us not to and deal with something more serious later on.
Has your doctor considered putting your son on prophylaxis to help cut down on the bruising and to prevent spontaneous bleeds? That was the best possible thing our doctor could have done for us and we're able to do his treatments at home. If you wanna pick my brain about anything, email me at are7328@ymail.com or check out "bumps are worse than bruises." I hope things are going better for ya'll.
